I don't think fun is the only factor. In the long run I've probably logged more hours with Goldeneye, and I have great memories of my friends and I playing it. But the single player didn't hold up to OoT. Ocarina was one of the first games for me where I was put in this large world being able to go freely wherever I want. The story was epic, and besides possibly the water temple you loved every little thing. It had so many little stories within the big stories. So many mysteries you just had to find out. You want to keep playing and playing to see what happened next. With Goldeneye, that thrill wasn't there. You wanted to keep playing to kill more guys, it's wasn't to see where the story was going.
