I don't know, if everything is stoppable why have teams been running the double tight I formation since the start of modern day football? The caliber of the player in the NFL is definitely better (that's why teams aren't willing to design a lot running plays for QBs - would be taking much bigger shots) but wildcat forces guy to make plays out in space. Consistently making plays out in space can be tough.

Not saying it will ever get to the point of being the teams primary offense or anything but if a guy can throw why wouldn't it work? It's just taking the shotgun and adding the element of run to it

I think the name is so stupid though
