They tried to make MVP look good (or at least smart for focusing on the leg), but it's hard to make someone look good while still losing in a 5 minute match.
The Cena match was more watchable. He gets a lot of crap, but at least he's not afraid to help try get someone over by selling their offense really well (The Miz held his own for awhile last night, and before WrestleMania Cena sold a total ass-kicking by the Big Show very well).
Both matches were pretty predictable, but it's not their fault. It's the writers' fault for setting up a ridiculous tournament where the finals were so obvious from the get-go. I'm fine with MVP being in the tournament, but don't put him up against MVP when it's clear the tournament was put in place to get Triple H another shot at Orton. Put MVP up against Cena, and maybe put someone like the Big Show against Triple H. It'd be a shitty match, but at least Show is built up to the point of him being a legitimate threat to Triple H. Since Cena was outside of the HHH/Orton storyline, him winning would've been much less of a given against someone like MVP.
