Yeah, Howard making the team is pretty iffy considering how many first basemen were already on the roster. I don't think he makes it if he's not from St. Louis and his manager wasn't picking teams. Dunn should've made it for the sole purpose of competing in the Home Run Derby. Same goes for Russell Branyan.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with injury replacements. Usually more than one guy from the final ballot ends up getting in anyway due to injuries. The NL starting outfield alone may need 2 replacements, and at least 1.

Still trying to figure out how Jason Marquis got named to the game, too. He has 10 wins, but that's the only impressive number he has right now. He's literally not striking anyone out and is far from dominant. I realize that Charlie Manuel said he was putting an emphasis on pitchers who would be able to pitch in the game, but the fact that he made the team over a guy like Yovani Gallardo or Johnny Cueto is ridiculous.
