I think if I didn't vote Empire, I would officially have to turn in my nerd card.

Plus, Empire's just a more enjoyable movie. There's no denying that RotK is going to be the cinematic definition of 'epic' for years to come, but without the massive success that the original Trilogy reached, it's doubtful that most of the block-buster franchises of today would have been made (or at least, been made in the same way). Add to that the sheer cool-factor of spaceships and Boba Fett and the single most infamous twist ending in movie history, and Empire runs away with this one.
