RESULTS

1: Currently, Raw or Smackdown?
SMACKDOWN: 23
RAW: 8

Smackdown is quite clearly the more enjoyable show currently for TPWW. RAW still managed 8 votes, which is a respectful-ish loss.

2: If you were Vince McMahon, would the Great Khali be employed?
YES: 19
NO: 13

Most of us would still have the Great Khali on our roster if we ran things. This surprised me slightly, although many who voted yes said it'd be in a small role etc. Some clever voters even had a play on words and took 'If you were Vince McMahon' quite literally. Fuckers.

3: WWE or TNA?
WWE: 30
TNA: 1

An overwhelming victory for the WWE. This kind of result was pretty expected. dablackguy saved TNA an ounce of dignity.

4: Elimination Chamber or Hell in a Cell?

ELIMINATION CHAMBER: 5
HELL IN A CELL: 26

The older, simpler, definitely more historic stipulation match wins quite easily here. Whilst both are often argued as over-used, several voters claimed that the Chamber has been over-used in it's short existence.

5: Gangrel or Viscera?

GANGREL: 28
VISCERA: 2

Two former Ministry of Darkness members battled it out in a surprisingly one-sided contested which resulted in Gangrel getting the easy victory. Big Daddy V/Gangrel would possibly have been a slightly more even battle, though I do believe Gangrel would still win comfortably.

6: Do you prefer Kane with or without his mask?

WITH: 27
WITHOUT: 1

As I'd expected, Kane with the mask is much preferred by TPWW posters than Kane without. A few voters (who's answers couldn't be tallied) said that the mask was irrelevant, and the mask is too far gone now to return. Debateable, I say.

7: RKO or Diamond Cutter?

RKO: 11
DIAMOND CUTTER: 21

A common argument which often shows the same results as here. The Diamond Cutter is preferred overall, but there are certainly a respectable amount of RKO-preferrees who believe that Orton's version looks that bit better. Overall though, the famous Diamond Cutter wins here. BAAAANG.

8: Evan Bourne's SSP or Billy Kidman's?

EVAN BOURNE: 23
BILLY KIDMAN: 8

I was curious to see the result of this, and my personal preferrence turned out to be the overall TPWW preferrence too. Kidman's got a fair amount of votes, but many claimed that Kidman's SSP shouldn't even be classified as a SSP. Others clearly think otherwise. Overall though, Evan 'Air' Bourne wins.

9: Better WWE year - 1997 or 2000?

1997: 12
2000: 20

A pretty close match-up, with 2000 being the overall victor. One poster claimed that whilst both years were great, 2000 had a better top-to-bottom roster, and the storylines were marginally better.

I expected a result very similar to this one, as in the year 2000 wrestling was booming, whilst 1997 came just before the infamous 'Attitude Era' boom. Also, I believe that some younger posters (myself included), remember the year 2000 a lot clearer than 1997.

10: Better Theme Music - Christian's 1st Waterproof Blonde theme or X-Factor's first theme?

CHRISTIAN: 24
X-FACTOR: 4

"IF YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES, YOUR LIFE, A NAKED TRUTH REVEALED. DREAMS YOU NEVER LIVED AND SCARS NEVER HEALED. IN THE DARKNESS LIGHT WILL TAKE YOU TO THE OTHER SIDEE, YOU'LL FIND ME WAITING THERE YOU'LL SEE IF YOU JUST CLOSE YOUR EYESSS"

Sorry Uncle Kracker.

11: Which DX was better overall, HBK/HHH/Chyna/Rude! or HHH/NAO/X-Pac/Chyna?

Original (HBK/HHH/Chyna/Rude): 13
2nd Version (HHH/NAO/X-Pac/Chyna): 18

I was very interested to see the results of this. I expected a result quite similar to this but the other way round. The second version of DX wins here though, one voter seemed to express how The Nation parody alone should be enough to sway your vote in favour of the second. A tough question for most, but second version wins.

12: Better Weapon - Steel Chair or Title Belt?

STEEL CHAIR: 25
TITLE BELT: 7

Whilst the title belt did get a fair amount of votes, the steel chair is clearly preferred by TPDUB. Several steel-chair voters said that the title belt should be treated with respect, and not used as a weapon, others said that it is easier swung and has better impact, one voter gave his reason for voting 'Steel Chair' as it makes a better sound! Whatever. Steel chair wins.

13: Do you like The Miz? YES/NO/DON'T CARE

YES: 26
NO: 2
DON'T CARE: 4

I was surprised to see such support for The Miz. He's clearly quite popular on TPWW, and only a few seemed put off by his debateably too realistic arrogance. A landslide for the Miz. Awesome.

14: CM Punk or Raven?

CM Punk: 16
Raven: 12

A very close match-up here, I couldn't have told you which way it was going to go beforehand. Debateably, Punk has an advantage as many younger voters wouldn't have seen Raven in his prime, and are seeing the rise of Punk before their very eyes, today. Take nothing away from Punk though, a victory here over the ever-popular Raven certainly shows that Punk has TPDUB's respect.

15: Owen Hart or Shelton Benjamin?

OWEN HART: 24
SHELTON BENJAMIN: 5

Owen Hart wins quite comfortably here, as expected. I was just curious to see how many people would vote Shelton, and in fairness to him, many called it a tough-call, and/or stated that we haven't yet seen much from Shelton. If Shelton ever reaches the heights that most want to see him reach, then the results could be different. Owen shows off his popularity here though, with most of us giving him the nod.

16: The Rock or Bret Hart?

THE ROCK: 23
BRET HART: 9

Two of the most popular superstars ever. A tough decision for most, but The Rock wins relatively comfortably. I expected a closer contest between the two superstars, especially due to how much Hart-love is expressed on TPWW. The victory goes to the most electrifying man in ALL of entertainment.

17: Stone Cold Steve Austin or Hulk Hogan?

STEVE AUSTIN: 30
HULK HOGAN: 2

Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Austin wipes the floor with the egotistical Hulk Hogan here. I expected a result just like this, and I'm glad to see it. In the wise words of Funky Fly - 'Fuck Hogan'.

18: Samoa Joe or AJ Styles?

SAMOA JOE: 6
AJ STYLES: 25

The two TNA main-stays were matched up against each other and 'The Phenomenal One' picked up a decent victory. Several voters claimed a disliking of both wrestlers, but preferred AJ just marginally. Why this is I'm not all that sure. The TNA fan-favourite, AJ Styles, beats the Nation of Violence, Main Event Mafia member Samoa Joe.

19: Ankle Lock or Sharpshooter?

ANKLE LOCK: 11
SHARPSHOOTER: 21

I asked you to choose between two of the greatest, most famous submission holds in WWE history, used famously by two of the biggest stars of all time. 21 voted Sharpshooter, 11 voted Ankle Lock. Bret Hart's defeat to the Rock may be softened slightly by this Sharpshooter victory. Most associate the Sharpshooter primarily with Bret Hart, although, rather ironically, The Rock also used it as a finisher for a while. Kurt Angle's (or Ken Shamrock's) ankle lock loses with dignity here.

20: Better Match - Angle/Benoit Rumble '03 or HBK/Flair WMXXIV?

ANGLE/BENOIT: 23
HBK/FLAIR: 8

Angle/Benoit from the Royal Rumble 2003 wins this battle of two classics. Both from periods where wrestling wasn't exactly peaking, these matches demonstrated that great matches could still happen. Many voters said how both matches were great, but as far as wrestling-quality goes, Angle/Benoit wins, several of those who voted HBK/Flair said they did so due to the great story told, as well as a great wrestling match. I didn't expect this result to be honest, however, I did expect the 'Chris Who?' jokes.

21: Vader or Rikishi?

VADER: 28
RIKISHI: 2

Vader squashes Rikishi..

.. that I'd love to see.

22: Edge or Chris Jericho?

EDGE: 7
Y2J: 24

A very hard question for most here. Most prefer Chris Jericho, and most say they do so marginally. The result demonstrates the popularity of Chris Jericho, but take nothing away from Edge, for there's still a long way for both stars to go, and he was up against possibly the most popular wrestler on TPWW.

23: Better Moment - DX invading WCW, or Austin with his beer truck soaking the corporation?

DX INVADES WCW: 8
AUSTIN BEER TRUCK: 22

Two of the most famous moments from the attitude era. Both were great, no doubt, but the unbelievably popular Stone Cold Steve Austin wins here.

24: What's more prestigious overall - IC Title, or the U.S Title?

IC TITLE: 26
US TITLE: 5

The Intercontinental Title wins this second-tier title battle. Some said that the U.S title has been treated better since it's return to WWE, but the IC title is more prestigious overall, and others said that whatever title is on Smackdown is more prestigious. Whichever way you look at it though, overall, the IC title is recognised as the more prestigious title on TPWW.

25:Better PPV - Survivor Series 2002 or Unforgiven 1999?

SURVIVOR SERIES '02: 26
UNFORGIVEN 1999: 6

HBK's elimination chamber win. Paul Heyman turns on Brock Lesnar. Kidman wins the cruiserweight title. Dudleyz re-unite. These great moments and more got the Survivor Series from 2002 the victory here. 2002 was not exactly one of WWE's best years, whereas 1999 certainly was, but the Survivor Series really stood out and showed everyone that there was still hope when watching the WWE.

26: Best ever-ring attire?

It's difficult to list the results here as most people voted differently, and some voted for the same wrestler but a different attire. These were the most popular wrestlers though

1: Kane 4
2: Bret Hart 3
3: RVD 2
=3: Taker 2
=3: Rick Rude 2
=3: Raven 2

Kane received the most votes, some for his original attire, one for his reverse original attire, and one for the last masked attire he had. It's fair to give Kane the victory here though. Raven's misfit look, Rude's vintage attire, RVD's spandex and Taker's typical attire all received two votes. Bret Hart's famous pink and black attire got 3 votes.

27: When you think of the Hardcore Title, who springs to mind first?

CRASH HOLLY: 15
MICK FOLEY: 6
AL SNOW: 3
BOB HOLLY: 1
RAVEN: 1
ROAD DOGG: 1
STEVE BLACKMAN: 1
RVD: 1

Crash Holly! The 2239x hardcore champ wins. During the 24/7 era Crash was always involved and deservedly picks up an impressive victory here which demonstrates his legacy amongst TPWW. Mick Foley got 6 votes which would be expected of the 'Hardcore Legend'. Al Snow was the only other competitor to receive more than one vote. He had some good moments with the hardcore title, his feud with the Big Bossman springs to mind. Crash Holly deserves his win.

28: Favourite McMahon?

VINCE: 13
SHANE: 11
STEPH: 7
LINDA: 0

Evenly spread answers here! Vince just gets the win over Shane-O, with Stephanie getting a respectable 7 votes. Some voters were reluctant to vote at all, in this case, some voted Vince just because, or Stephanie as a pervert's choice. Vince is still in charge here in a fair reflection of McMahon popularity on TPWW. Linda is 100% irrelevant.

29: nWo or DX?

NWO: 15
DX: 17

An incredibly close match-up between the two most popular stables in history. I was excited reviewing the results for this, and it was 15-15 until the two last votes went in DX's favour. Both stables were brilliant and the closeness of this match-up was expected. My personal preferrence wins here. 'And if you ain't down with that, we got two words for ya!...'

30: Best theme-music ever?

Like the ring-attire, the results are hard to display, those wrestlers who received more than one vote will be mentioned:

1. Steve Austin: 5
2. The nWo: 3
=2. The Rock: 3
4: HBK: 2
=4: Bret: 2
=4: Edge: 2
=4: Brood: 2
=4: Undertaker: 2

Steve Austin's 'glass shattering' got the most votes, that theme got 4 votes, and one vote for Austin's alliance theme pushed him further in front. The nWo was second with 3 votes, alongside the Rock who received 2 votes for his 'IF YA SMELLL' theme and another vote for his 2003 heel-run theme. Several others got two votes.

31: Best Wrestlemania?

(Those with more than one vote will be mentioned)

X7 (2001): 10
XX (2004): 4
XV (1999): 3
X8 (2002): 2

The ever-loved Wrestlemania from 2001 wins overwhelmingly here, with no real competitor. Austin V Rock headlined, and that match was just one reason why it's gone down in history as TPWW's favourite Wrestlemania.

32: Best WWF/E year?

(Those with more than one vote will be mentioned)

2000: 10
1999: 8
1998: 4
1997: 3

Interestingly, this top four is a chronological order that demonstrates how the wrestling business boomed during that time. 1997 was the beginning, 1998 was better, 1999 EVEN better, and 2000 was the peak. 1999/2000 is recognised as the peak of the attitude-boom, with the before years (97-98) being recognised as a lot better than the after years (01-02). These results clearly illustrate this.

33: Best finisher?

(Those with more than one vote will be mentioned)

Stunner: 9
Diamond Cutter: 4
People's Elbow: 3
Canadian Destroyer: 2

Steve Austin gets yet another victory, his famous 'Stone Cold Stunner' used to come out of nowhere and would usually result in yet another victory for Austin. Either that or he was stunning Vince and Shane. DDP's diamond cutter comes in at second, with The Rock's people's elbow in 3rd, and Petey William's Canadian Destroyer in fourth.

34: Best diva?

(You know by now)

TRISH: 21
MICKIE: 3
MOLLY HOLLY: 2

Trish wins easily, as we'd all expect. She deserves it 100%. Popular Mickie James comes in at second with Molly Holly in third.

35: Overall best wrestling promotion ever?

WWF/E: 28
WCW: 1
ECW: 1
MAW: 1

Well, as much as well all love to slate it, WWF/E proves again that it is by far our favourite wrestling company, ever.

- This took me fucking hours. Appreciate it.
