Mets drop 2 out of the 3 to the Nationals...

10 games out of the division now, and 6.5 out of the Wild Card going into the night, probably going to lose ground to some teams there too.

They are just gonna stand pat at the trade deadline, hope the injured guys can come back and rape, and spur them to a late surge like the Rockies in 2007. I'm not optimistic though.

If nothing comes of this season, it's gonna be time to just rebuild for 2010. It's become pretty clear that this core's chance to win it all was 2006.
