I wouldn't call him a beast during his time as a Patriot but he was pretty damn good. If Burgess plays like Colvin did during his good years then I'll be happy with this pick up. Patriots defense is never based around one pass rusher - it's a balanced attack.
I'm really looking forward to this season, to be honest I'm not that worried about the defensive backs anymore. Depth at LB is the biggest concern I think. I don't think Mayo is gonna have a slump either and looks like he is already the captain of the defense - he lead the stretching at practice along with Brady and Sam Aiken (must be the new special teams captain now that Izzo is gone)
It's time for Hollaman to step up too
