A. Sheff was having a very good year. his biggest problem was he is playing too much due to alllll of the mets injurys. he started breaking down himself as expected. most contending teams would love to have garys bat coming off the bench.
2. just to see what they could get probably...or they would have let him go but it as a team like the phils or the marlins and the mets didnt want him goin there
