Mets made some nice changes to Citi Field, hanging up famous Mets images around the park (which was sorely lacking through the first few months) as well as moving the championship banners out to left field rather than hiding them near the gate of the least-used entrance into the park.
Only thing I don't like is they were asked point blank if Mike Piazza's number is going to be retired and they said there are no immediate plans. Not really sure why, he's the best hitter they've ever had...it speaks volumes that they had him catch Seaver for the last pitch at Shea and the first pitch at Citi. I'm thinking maybe they are waiting for him to be inducted into the HOF but they retired Seaver's basically the instant that he retired from baseball.
