They'll probably wait until the HoF, which he'll make providing he doesn't wind up on the steroid shitlist in the next few years.

I wouldn't be suprised if the Mets holding out until the steroid thing blows over and he's hopefully not implicated. I'm not saying he took steroids. I hope he didn't but everyone from that era is under the microscope, especiallly a beast like him.
