I hate to say it but this does both.
1. He would be a midcarder at most upon debut and deservedly so

2. Developmental is where you learn how to work TV matches as well as incorporate the so-called 'WWE style', how to work within a strict time limit literally down to about 10 seconds ("Never run over, if you have to, go short, but never run over"), how to work the cameras, prepare you to work on live television, how to beat the shit out of somebody without actually beating the shit out of somebody etc etc, things Danielson has never done or has very little experience in.

3. The majority of WWE's fanbase don't know and don't give a fuck who he is. So having 'the Title put on him pronto and then go on legendary ROH style title run' is ridiculous.

Just quit with the whole uninformed 'ROH IS SO MUCH BETTER CAUSE THEY ACTUALLY WRESTLE' bollocks 'cause it's pretty retarded
