I don't so much "adopt a team" thoroughly when my team doesn't make it, I just try to take a rooting interest in each series to make it interesting. Admittedly though the first round is usually a bore.

Like I've said, this year I'm basically just rooting for anything other than a Phillies/Yankees WS. That's like a Mets fans worst nightmare right there.
