You should make the projectiles a rare occurance that can only occur at certain times and do more damage than usual, but still leave room for the fight to continue unless you only have a small amount of damage left. Personally I'm not a big fan of the projectiles, but they are such a big part of the legacies of these games that I don't feel you should remove them, but they need a big overhaul in my opinion.

Don't be afraid to say fireballs could be taken out of fighters. It's radical attacks on the norm like that that makes for something special. And I like the idea of making 'the fireball' a big deal again. I think we all take advantage of the idea of shooting fuckin fire from your character's hands.
And Bushido Blade needs to come back. Fuck it, somebody should just rip it off. The original devs don't give a shit anymore.
