If they expand they would need to get it to 36 teams pretty quick or else it would be messed up like it was before the Texans came in with an odd number of teams. I doubt they would expand in this economy BUT if any of the major leagues could pull it off it would be the NFL. Maybe an International Contingent with Toronto/London/Mexico City/Some other City in Europe

3 6 Team Divisions per Conference with the playoffs being the top 2 in each division and no Wild Card teams. The 3rd #1 seed would play the worst of the #2 seeded teams and the other 2 #2 seeded teams play each other. Best 2 #1 teams get byes just like now. Yay for going back to AFC/NFC East/Central/West as well. 18 Game schedule implemented as well. Each team in the division twice, plus all 5 of the same final standing in division teams from the previous year just like now, plus one additional team from the opposite conference's 3 divisions making for an even 12 In Conference Games and 6 Out of Conference Games (similar to 12 and 4 now)
