Well I mean, the only real downside to Favre not playing is the whole "consecutive games" thing. Other than that, there's no real reason he should be playing, and even then that's a pretty weak reason.

If I were in his position, I doubt I'd be playing the day after my dad died... Man that sucks, I hope he's all right
