I actually enjoyed cloverfield so I would settle with one of two scenarios....
#1...the Rumoured sequel which takes place during the same event but with a different group of people.
#2....Take the first movie...and do it with no shaky cam. Instead have a focus on the military and how they are trying to take it down and sending in forces. Have the main characters from the first filom pop up in different moments off the side. Like soldiers running on the ground and they come across them running or mention seeing them off to the side...or just take place where the first film ended. (considering I think that final line in the film I believe played backwards is freaky as hell to me)
