Mine did something similar except it didn't delete the wireless it doesn't recognize the cd drive, or the battery. With mine it's something internal that's fried, at least for the battery (it used to get so hot it would shut off unless it had a fan pointed at it or a bottle of cold water sitting on it). I wish I could help you out, but even with mine I've tried downloading the drivers off the Gateway website and other places and it doesn't change anything.

Maybe try going to the website of the card maker or computer manufacturer and seeing if they have drivers for it. Perhaps they didn't get carried over after the reformat.
