Thing is, and I don't want to sound like I took the film too seriously lol, but in another life, and done in a different way - the film could be shot and written in such a way that it does have a deep, important message to get across about how real life/movies differ - like at the end when Benedict says, '...because here, in this world, the bad guys can win!' that always stuck in my head, like how in movies cops are always on the scene really quick, how the guns never need reloaded - small things. But I always had that line stuck in my head, and how the Slater character's soul was so crushed to find out his whole life was a work of fiction - I dunno sounds like I'm looking into it way too much but when I saw it as a kid, I had these kinda 'deep thoughts' even then, but from this film, and I always loved that about LAH. It got slated, pun intended, and not really held that high, but for me, it was epic.
