ok so a couple months or so before Summerslam, Bulldog injured himself in a match. So he sat home all summer just drinking and smoking crack with Jim Neidhart according to Bret. So he showed up for the match in no shape what so ever to wrestle. Bret pretty much carried the entire thing. Bulldog blew a couple spots or didn't remember what he was suppossed to do. He crotched Bret on the post once, he mistimed Bret's plancha to the outside and a couple other things.
On the handshake, if you watch the tape, look at Bret right after the match. He's all pissed off. He was doing this deliberately so Bulldog would come over and extend his hand and Bret would look around and finally shake it. Instead, Bulldog forgot about it and Bret just walked over and shook his hand.
