Seems kind of backwards, but good for Shawn if he's honestly willing to bury the hatchet. In all seriousness, I think Shawn knows he was a dick back then and he deserved some of the things he got. If you watch the documentary WWE made for him in 07 you can see how much he has grown as a person and really came back from one foot in the grave and his remorse towards his coworkers, family, etc.

Triple H takes it personally because of his passion for the business, and Triple H thinks Bret was trying to hurt the business.
