Bret was clearly uncomfortable and didn't want to do the hug. Carl's right, this is just for show. It's a work.

Really, Bret seemed broken and not wanting to do this the whole night. And I know it wasn't because of the stroke or anything, he genuinely came off to me as he didn't want to do it.
