Bet you’d thought we’d forgotten about those Sonic XBLA rumours, didn’t you? Well, we hadn’t, and one of our sources has not only confirmed it exists, but sent us some screenshots as well.
When asked whether the game was on Partnernet (the industry-only Xbox Live mirror network), our source confirmed that not only was Sonic Adventure on there, he’d already downloaded it:
"Totally true, my man. [Sonic Adventure’s] on Partnernet. "
"I downloaded that sucker over the weekend. Big mutha of a download. 1.5GB!"
"Bad news is, it ain’t aged so well. Seriously. Just looks like a straight port [of the Dreamcast game]. Same draw distance issues, same glitches, same everything."
So everything’s the same?
"No widescreen mode, no graphical improvements. Feels really dumb and ropey now. Makes you wonder why they bothered."
Oh dear, that doesn’t sound good. He was kind enough to do some screens for us, though.
