It is, but alot of the time Scavenger is useful. Depends on the map really.

Also, protip using grip with the shotgun reduces the spread thus reducing the area it hits which actually weakens it

I use Bling Pro with my Heavy Duty class (RPD w/ Thermal and Grip, I can pretty much snipe with the thing and I have a stinger to get rid of troublesome aircraft and cold blooded which helps alot)
