Actually that's not all because you almost made my head explode with that opinion piece. Wrestling was entering an age where appreciation for it had decreased dramatically in this country and the fans from the generation that had been brought up on it throughout the seventies and eighties had been reduced to essentially the die-harders. The Attitude Era pretty much re-energized the product and got a whole new generation of fans hooked on wrestling. Christ.
