WOOOOOOOO Supernatural Season 6 is confirmed.
Quote:
The weird and surprisingly tense Supernatural is coming back for it's sixth year, the CW has announced, but the show creator and runner Eric Kripke won't be the show runner anymore, replaced by Sera Gamble, who has been with the show since the beginning.
Supernatural was originally planned to run for five years, and so all the storylines have worked to that end, but the steady popularity has brought it back for another year, and that's always good to see-- but will it be good for the show? It's encouraging that the replacement show runner has been there through the whole of the show's history, and that Kripke will not abandon the show all together, but is staying on as a hands-on sort of executive producer, but will the transition be seamless? There's almost always a notable shift when someone else takes over, and with Kripke signing on to develop other shows for the CW, will he be able to keep it on track through this first unplanned year?
Let's wait and see. This is wild new country!
