He's retired and watches wrestling and posts what he thinks about it, and answers questions from fans.

What's any different about him giving his opinion on the product from any other fan doing it?
If his accomplishments in wrestling are a factor in how worthy his fan criticisms are, then what does that say about everyone on here?

What he's done in wrestling as far as promos are concerned, or "the last thing of note he's done" are all non-factors when it comes to how knowledgable he is as a viewer.
