I hope so. I wouldn't say Omar is a completely terrible GM, because he's brought in some good talents, but that might speak more to have payroll availability than anything else. It also speaks volumes to me that with a few exceptions like Heath Bell, most of the prospects the Mets have dealt away that Omar initially got have wound up being total crap.
Plus he can't speak, fumbles through his press conferences, and seemingly no longer has the final say in player transactions. I have to think that Manuel and Minaya will both be out the door after 2010 unless the Mets shock everybody and make the playoffs.
