Read the review Khuntry listed below your point. I agree with it 100%.

tl;dr version: Only buy if you're a fan of terrible writing, running down corridors and occasionaly pushing buttons.

In fact, since you have a PS3, why not re-buy all the PS1 FF's. Start with Tactics then play any order you like.
