To be honest, it doesn't matter if Roethlisberger is guilty or not. The guy has put himself in situations where he is at least accused of wrong doing. The public perception is pretty much reality and I imagine that the perception of him is poor after these two incidents.
It doesn't shock me that Goodell hasn't done anything yet. He was all over Pacman's ass, but Roethlisberger is the face of the Steelers. We wouldn't want to suspend a player of that magnitude, would we?
I heard on the radio today that the security feed of the night of the alleged assault was copied over by the club by more recent footage. I recall on Mike & Mike that the security tapes copied over on a weekly basis or something of that nature. If they don't have any video, it is all basically "he said, she said" and I don't see how any DA in the country could get a conviction, guilty or not. On top of that, the girl was 20, had a fake ID confiscated in the same establishment weeks prior to this incident, and was intoxicated over a .20 BAC.
Roethlisberger should count his lucky charms on this one.
