yep we are influenced heavily by pink floyd. so I do a lot of long songs with parts and my second album will be double disc the first one will be simple except for two of the songsit will be pretty much nothing that new. the second album is when the crap hits the fan. we have Rock symphonies. and by we i mean i write everything they play it i sing and play lead and other instruments occasionally. Linkin park hasn't influenced me at all realistically. the thing is when you start writing songs everything sounds like rap at first. its been about 3 years since i wrote a song with rap aspects. Some are long, some are normal 3 minute catch stuck in your head songs. I don't really like to say i am influenced by people because that backs me in a corner like i am imitating them, and honestly i taugh myself everything i know. i got to were i could write a good song without any interference or any reference and write lyrics about anything, no matter if i was facing it or not. then i started listening to music and stuff and sort of put my own spin on old songs. but i try not to listen to music if i am going to compose anything or write lyrics. otherwise i may use something accidentily. this song has some cliche lines in it but. i believe songs should be like a book, you listento it for aesthetic value. maybe one day people will listen to songs like movies , once. i have enough good material for a career of music already and i am 17. i am still writing, i havent even reached my prime. my hope is to change music, yeah i'll have catchy singles but what i really want is to be able to realese an album like all the time that way if its good or bad the next one is coming. and you don't even have time to digest one before boom! another one hits you. then some will be like wow this is a great song, whoa theres another, that one was lacking but hey that ne rocks! i ma talking almost weekly or monthly. I have enough already and if i just record and put out the stuff i have now i could make about 30 cds. the only problem is the label not being able to do things quick enough. don't worry about the stuff being not top quality it will be. it already is in the simple demo stage. I write more than Rivers. I listen to music for my own satisfaction. i write music as a completely different thing. by influenced i mean given the okay by. I will change the world.
