You have to remember that HBK isn't done for good after this. He has a few more matches anyway. So there's no way (in a logical world) that he can go out clean.

They could very well put him out clean. You always go out on your back. Even if he's leaning towards coming back for another match down the road, if he's leaving for an extended period of time it's very possible that he'll just go down cleanly.
