Wish I had as easy of a way to block on-page items like I did in Firefox.. just a simple transparent tab that appears on items on the page like the one with Adblock, so I could just click it and block that item from ever showing up again.

ugh, had to go back to 3.5.8. turns out the paypal plug-in isn't supported in 3.6, and i had no idea how much i used it until i couldn't anymore. gonna download chrome today and play with it.
