Wrestlemania 28 is slated to take place in Toronto. Imagine if they held off on Edge vs Christian until then?
I'm not suggesting it would "main event", but it could be the second title match like Edge vs Jericho is this year.

I don't think they would, or should hold off on it until then though. The two aren't getting any younger, and they could use a hot program like that this year or next.
