I feel like pure nostalgia would make it hard for Bret to be a heel. Maybe if he became their leader and basically told them to beat the crap out of good guys all the time. But I actually think that using Bret to get them some face time and get the crowd behind them is good. Then, when they turn heel at some point, it will be effective.
