I double-checked, and Chiota referee'd HBK/Taker last year, as well. I like him as an official. Also, I LOVED Jimmy Korderas. I don't even know why, he just seemed like a nice guy. I remember watching an old Attitude-era video, and there was an angle where the referees were all on strike -- except for Korderas who kept coming into to work. The other guys officiating were all substitute refs like Steve Lombardi. The full-time refs then beat-down Korderas because he didn't go on strike with them.

You gotta love how Jack Doan was the ladies referee for a while, too. I don't know if he still does that stuff. Justin King ("the black ref") was doing it for a while. I don't know if that was ever explained, but it was just such a cool ref touch that Doan was the pimp of the striped officials.

One guy I will mention, though -- Earl Hebner. While I was a mark, I thought of him as the king of the refs because JR would always point out he was the "senior official." But when I actually see him refereeing now, and even occasionally when he was with the WWE (I didn't look too hard then), he seems to get in the way more than the other referees. Silly ol' Earl.
