RVD busting up Angle as well is another case. Either way PG has nothing to do with how guys work matches, I just think Vince realizes that he's better off with healthy guys than broken down guys.


Don't get me wrong I'd love to watch these guys work the Japanese style, but then we'd be dealing with brutal injuries and shortened careers. We think the painkillers and booze was bad before, make that style prevalent and we'll see a whole new era of pain killers. Not everyone's Stan Hansen who could just do it night in and night out (although his knees were bunk by the end).

The only guy I can think of who insisted on working a style similar to that in the WWE (although toned down comparitively to actual Japan) other than cruiserweights who are small enough that they don't die from it, was Benoit, and look what happened to him. And to two lesser extents Guererro and Angle. We know what also happened to Guerrero, and Angle was breaking down on the WWE schedule.
