Yeah it's true that they don't release a lot of the more adult-themed games (GTA and the like), but they do have some good ones.
Granted, most of their best games are the 'kiddie' ones that the franchise was built upon... Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, games like that are probably some of the best on the system. It would be nice if they released more games, but I personally like the games they release. They are usually really original (Animal Crossing, Pikmin) and aren't just a rehash of another game already being made (like all the GTA clones out there on PS2). But yeah, if they want to get back into the top spot (or top 2 at least) they need to really start getting serious about releasing more mature gamess
