This happened before I got into wrestling but I always thought it was a real injury and they incorporated it into kayfabe? Thought maybe Mabel did his splash wrong and legitimately broke a bone in Taker's face. Was it just a kayfabe injury afterall?
As far as my contribution to the topic, I'll go with Kane's burnt face. Also McMahon being in a wheelchair during the attitude era was a good one. I'm gonna miss "Mr. McMahon."
