Well, there is is. 20-year old top pitching prospect Jenrry Mejia has made the Mets' Opening Day bullpen.

I'm torn. On one hand, they have such a short leash this year that they need to take the best relievers north, and Mejia's had great stuff all spring and has pitched better than pretty much any other guy in camp.

On the other hand, the whole idea of taking the "best players in camp" seems moot when Sean Green somehow made the team ahead of Bobby Parnell and Nelson Figueroa. I just really hope they don't make Mejia the next Joba. Stick him in the pen now, fine...if he's lights out then declare him the future closer. But don't move him back and forth between the bullpen and rotation.

Whatever, I'm excited to see what the kid can do. Hope it works out.
