Cell shading isn't inherrently bad, but the newer Zelda games look kind of stupid in the graphics department. While I personally don't care if a game looks dumb, as long as it plays well, many people go "that looks gay" and won't even give it a shot. This really doesn't help any, especially since Nintendo's been going for such a hardcore "kiddy" image that they're scaring off the older gamers.

Some of the games using Cel Shading actually look pretty cool.
