Also, why the fuck does Hades have to be the fucking Villain when they are making a Greek Mythology movie here lately?
Hades isn't a fucking villain. Nor should any fighter be afraid of going to the Underworld, also named Hades. At least 300 got that point right. ("Tonight we dine in Hell," is merely a western take on "Tonight we dine in Hades" which is what Leonidas allegedly said that fateful day.) Sure, his domain is undesirable in Judeo-Christian society, but it was a place everyone went in Greek Mythology.
Also, seriously, In the original I could at least decipher who was supposed to be playing who on Mount Olympus. The only other God who spoke besides Hades and Zeus was Apollo. I know that because he was mentioned by Zeus. I had no fucking clue who Hera was (who played a role in the original), who Poseidon was supposed to be (and wasn't the Kraken supposed to be Poseidon's creation in the original Clash of the Titans, despite being a Norse creature? I mean, he only comes from the sea, and Poseidon, you know, is the GOD of the Sea.), who Athena was supposed to be (she could have at least stood around with an owl on her wrist like in the original).
Bubo was just thrown in as a reference to the original flick. How they found that old prop is beyond me.
Beyond that, the new story was just thrown together. "The man going through great trials in his quest for revenge against the Gods" storyline is done much better in the God of War series , a bunch of fucking VIDEO GAMES.
