I don't think Danielson could come right in and get a title shot. I think that's ludicrous and I think anybody who was saying that he should come in anywhere near the top of the card was a fucking moron. He needs to start at the bottom and work his way up. I've always said this.

As for Otunga, of course he's getting the guest host spot. His strength lies in talking and charisma, and outside of Barrett, no one else on NXT comes close. Plus he has the free publicity of being Kate Hudson's finance. Why would they put Danielson in a spot he would never be able to fill? As Heyman says, accentuate the positives, hide the negatives.

I don't put much into what they're doing with him in terms of the losing streak or being cocky with the challenges. I won't armchair it here because I know how much you hate that, but until he's out of NXT and on the main roster, don't think you're seeing everything you've seen about Danielson. They're building him up by breaking him down, it's logical and it's a bit obvious in where they're taking it.
