Humans have been drawing sexy and erotic art since we figured out how to make markings on cave walls. Finding videogame characters hot is just the modern equivilent.
I think it's the videogame aspect that makes people say "Lol, seriously!?". Someone can say they would have sex with Jessica Rabbit if she was real and everyones cool with it because it's Jessica Rabbit but if someone else then said they'd have sex with Mai from King of Fighters, it's suddenly "pretty sad".
As far as which characters are hot, I can't really add anything to the thread.
