Name: The Specialists
Members: Chris Nowinski, Tommy Dreamer, Maven, John Heidnereich, (with guest appearances by Eugene)
Brand: Raw
Face/Heel: Heel
Gimmick: After Nowinski's return, he claims that he is smarter than ever because the only thing he could do was study while he was away. Tommy Dreamer comes out with a kendo stick and we think he's going to beat Nowinski down, but he doesn't. Nowinski tells everyone that his feud with Dreamer is over after the two had a long talk and decided that they'd be better off together with Nowinski's brains and Dreamer's hardcore abilities. The two hire themselves out as hitmen, kinda like the APA, but they attack people rather than protect them.

Later, after a failed attempt to beat up A-train, the two realize that they need a big man to take out other big guys. They hold "tryouts" but the only 2 people to show up are Eugene, who heard they wanted "special people", and Heidenreich, who thinks it is a suveneire stand (he wants to get Little Johnny a Heidenreich shirt, but couldn't find one at any of the other stands around the building.) The very confused Heidenreich ends up getting talked into becoming a part of this new stable and still doesn't get that t-shirt for little Johnny....

Later, after a particularly busy business day (A whopping FOUR people want somebody beaten up but "The specialists" only have three guys at their disposal) Nowinski decides to expand. The three think and think until Nowinski remembers that one guy who he worked with on Tough Enough. The guy who knocked the Undertaker out of the Royal Rumble: Maven. They talk Maven into joining (again, Eugene is there hoping they'd accept him too, but they don't).

The Specialists are good for comedic roles, and even though they suck in the ring they'd dominate in backstage "hits" because of Nowinski's planning and everyone else's special skills. Mostly, however, it's a good place to put guys who aren't getting much airtime on TV without making them into total jobbers.
