I'm not going to pretend he's a probable choice, but the role of GM is far from the same as the role of main event wrestling talent.
This. He probably wouldn't be on RAW every week. They could tape things in advance, and he could always get someone to "fill-in" for him.

On the topic of The Rock -- I would consider him an improbability to the point of near impossibility. Hollywood is too good. The Rock as a RAW Guest Host/Guest GM is much more likely.

I'll also throw Triple H's name into the hat. I would not want to see it, as I think time away does The Game a great deal of good in the freshness department -- but while he is selling Sheamus' injuries and taking time off for other stuff, the lighter role of GM is a way to keep him on television if he misses the spotlight.
