For the record, there's an XBLA title coming out for Yu Gi Oh. The only reason I know this is that people on the Wizards and GF boards were bitching that YGO was gonna have full customisation, so why can't this?
not that I want full customisation. I like the "Magic For Dummies" element here where you can pick up and play. I'd like to be able to remove base cards from decks, but otherwise, it's fine.
Haven't played the TCG in years.
Also, I got to 300/300 GS because of pure chance. Four player game, one guy quits immediately. Playing the White deck, whatever it's called, and the other two are another white deck and the new landfall deck.
So white decides to attack me, and he has a better draw. Landfall slowly builds up his army, and suddenly quits. I've been sitting on a Wrath of God as a combo reset button and "screw you," when white also quits. I was almost certainly gonna lose, and I ended up getting the achievement for winning a 3 oe 4 player game instead.

I love having a few Venerable Monks on the field or Angels, while the opponent has a shit ton of creatures in play, and then dropping a Wrath of God or the Mass Calcify. They get so pissed when you do it and then drop 3 or 4 Suntail Hawks and pump them all with Holy Strength. Good times.
I will agree with you on the customization bit though, but I'm sure they didn't include it because too many people would make ridiculously unbeatable decks and what have you. I just want some fucking Vampire Bats for the black deck! Low cost pump creatures with flying. Is that too much to ask?
