I've always loved this video because it highlights Trips' career from his first theme in WWE to the current version of "The Game".

Also, I'm pretty sure "My Time" was probably the theme you were looking for that had the background music and some of the lyrics ever-so-slightly tweaked into what we know as today's version of "The Game". And, yes, jskinnyg, you're right, and his name is Jim Johnston.
