Is it giving WWE too much credit to say that the entire NXT season was a setup to this? I think back to Sheffield's final promo and it was good and intense. Maybe the whole point was to put these guys in ridiculous gimmicks and make them do ridiculous shit only for them to break out like they did.

Probably is giving them too much credit, but it just happens to seem like that and it works.
