US played the better football overall, honestly, albeit lacking much of a cutting edge. Cole neutralised Donovan fairly well, he'll come alive in the other games. Carragher could've been sent off in another game, and if Altidore could finish it could easily have been 2-1. Should get through the group easily - depending on how it turns out US can make the quarters again, no problem.

Can't believe it's 2010 and the England team contains Rob Green, Jamie Carragher, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Emile Heskey and Peter Crouch. Good god

*sigh* Anyway, let us hope Algeria and Slovenia don't get any ideas.
